FVF Genève is the return of Franc Vila to watchmaking on his own terms — a deeply personal new atelier launched after two decades immersed in mass luxury watchmaking, where he built one of the most recognized names in skeletonized sport-luxury horology before stepping back to found something smaller and entirely his own. 'Franc Vila learned the rules of watchmaking as a professional,' the atelier's own philosophy states, 'today he redefines them as an artist.' Atelier FVF is conceived not as a conventional watch brand but as what Vila calls Emotional Horology — an artistic atelier dedicated to designing and hand-crafting contemporary timepieces of exceptional finishing, where every detail matters and every movement is meant to breathe life into the art of watchmaking. To realize this vision, Vila has forged collaborations with several of Geneva's most talented independent watchmakers, blending centuries of horological heritage with 21st-century engineering and architecture.

The debut creation, the FVF1 Superligero Tourbillon, marks the genesis of the Atelier's Sport collection and over twenty years of Vila's expertise in high-performance skeletonized watchmaking. Its defining innovation is a Unibody case/baseplate construction machined from a single block of grade 5 titanium — fusing case and movement architecture into one structure to overcome the traditional structural weaknesses of skeletonized watches while achieving remarkable lightness (54.8g on the strap). Sapphire crystal front and back bezels form a protective glass box around the movement, whose 240 components (297 fully cased) include a 60-second flying tourbillon at 6 o'clock, a 3D enamel day-and-night indicator, a heptagonal day-of-the-week display, and a high-efficiency jeweled barrel delivering a full 100-hour power reserve — all hand-finished to Geneva's traditional decorative standards: polished inward angles, hand-engraving, black polishing, and micro-perlage across German silver bridges.

The second creation, the FVF2 Time – Day, opens a new Intrepido collection of traditional yet sporting dress watches — a 39.5mm titanium Unibody case with asymmetrical screwed lugs and a left-mounted crown, its dial a dual-layer construction of grade 5 titanium topped with 18-carat gold, carved to raise its indexes and colored by black galvanic treatment, displaying hours, minutes, seconds, and a retrograde day-of-the-week. Its new in-house hand-wound FVF2 caliber — 247 components, 28 jewels, 80-hour power reserve — shows black-polished steel bridges and a mirror-finished squared barrel click through the caseback. An inaugural special edition of just eight pieces pairs a light blue dial with a platinum bezel. Both calibers share the same regulator: a 15-tooth Swiss lever escapement with adjustable-mass balance, four regulation screws, and eight 8.2mm inertial screws, shock-protected with a Geneva stud — the technical signature of an atelier built, in Vila's words, on timeless values, modern engineering, and artisanal finishing.
