Rebellion Timepieces

Founded in 2008 by Alexandre Pesci — a third-generation industrialist passionate about watchmaking, high technology, and car racing — on the shores of Lake Geneva in Lonay, Switzerland. Rebellion Timepieces is the only watch brand with its own racing team: Rebellion Racing, which competed in the FIA World Endurance Championship and the Dakar Rally. The racing DNA is deeply embedded in every watch: bold design, no-compromise engineering, proprietary bespoke movements exhaustively tested in Rebellion's own state-of-the-art laboratory. Debut at Baselworld 2008 featured five calibres including a world-premiere GMT Jumping Hour.

All movements are designed, developed, produced, and assembled in Switzerland. Dials are multi-layered for three-dimensional depth. The T-1000 is their signature model with an extraordinary 1,000-hour power reserve. Other models include the Predator and RE-Volt series. Notable partnerships: official timing partner of Manor Racing (F1, 2016); partnership with Alfa Romeo F1 Team Orlen (2022, with limited editions using fragments of race cars); ambassador Ronaldinho (2022). Also a member of the Fondation de la Haute Horlogerie. Rebellion avoids market trends, preferring to forge its own path. Designed for the asserted individualist.

The T-1000's 1,000-hour power reserve, launched in 2010 as the brand's founding statement, is a genuine feat of mechanical architecture rather than a marketing number: designed by Eric Giroud around a movement built by Concepto, six barrels charge in parallel through a central transmission shaft driving two chains, then discharge in series to deliver linear power to an inclined balance regulator, with hours and minutes read off two rotating rollers instead of conventional hands. The T-500 that followed applies the same vertical, six-barrel architecture at a more modest 450-hour reserve, its calibre's individual barrels engraved with tire-tread patterns as a direct nod to Rebellion's racing DNA, while other technical showpieces have pushed materials to their limits — the 540 Magnum Tourbillon's modular sapphire case alone required 99 working days to machine. Leadership has had its own turns: after several years under CEO Calim Bouhadra, founder Alexandre Pesci returned to take direct control of operations in March 2023, a decision the brand framed as recommitting to the founder's original vision rather than continued external management. Rebellion has also served as official timekeeper of the Dakar Rally across multiple editions, extending its motorsport partnerships beyond Formula 1 into one of endurance racing's most gruelling events — a fitting home for a brand whose watches, priced from roughly CHF 28,000 to well past six figures for its sapphire tourbillon showpieces, remain unapologetically built for maximalist, no-compromise engineering over restraint.
