Emilien Reverchon was born on 8 August 1988 in the Vallée de Joux, the son of a carpenter and a watchmaker; at ten, his grandfather, a micro-mechanic at Lémania, gave him his first watch, a moment he credits with cementing his passion. He joined workshops specialising in the decoration of grand complication movements early in his career, spending more than fifteen years working for some of the most prestigious houses in the Vallée de Joux before launching his own high-end watch decoration business. Since 2020 he has explored redesigning and transforming movement architectures himself, officially founding Reverchon as his own company in 2025.

Anima Temporis, Latin for 'the soul of time,' took more than two years of research and development before its 2025 launch. Inspired by medieval aesthetics fused with contemporary lines, its hands are modelled on Roman swords and its numerals rendered in Roman numerals as a tribute to Reverchon's own Italian heritage. At the watch's centre is the Whirlpool, a tourbillon completing a full rotation every 60 seconds and paired with a power-reserve indicator, entirely hand-decorated through artisanal engraving, hand-filed bevels, and traditional guilloché work, running 60 hours of reserve at 21,600 vibrations per hour across 27 jewels, hand-wound.

Offered in platinum or 18-karat yellow gold, each version is limited to a strictly personal number — eight pieces, a reference to Reverchon's own birth date of 08.08.1988. The 41mm case, excluding crown, stands 12.5mm thick, paired with a hand-guilloché white gold dial left in its natural hue and a sapphire crystal.
